Desjardins Sports Complex - Collège André-Grasset

This impressive sports complex expansion project at Collège André-Grasset (nearly 70,000 square feet) provides modern amenities to the student body and an iconic design rooted in the school’s innovative culture. The intricate detailing allows for a living spectacle with an evolving play on shadows – changing with every hour of the day.

This masonry masterpiece features 57,000 standard brick units and 8,000 special shapes with smaller core holes which allowed for extruded header detail. Riopel + Associés Architects created a design which pulls in existing architectural features of this 1927 college and creates a modern appeal with use of shapes.
